Rama just started to learn archery. One day suddenly Vishvamitra rishi came to Dasaratha. Dasaratha bowed to him, sat him down, joined hands, and asked politely, 'Muniraja! Tell us what you want.' Vishwamitra said, 'Dashrath! I don't want your wealth, your grain, your throne. My sacrifice requires both Rama Lakshmana. Evil demons are committing a number of evil deeds such as setting fire to the yajna tent, breaking the sacrificial vessels, etc. No one can punish them other than Rama-Lakshmana.
Dasaratha was very sad to hear these words from the mouth of a sage. If Vishvamitra's wishes are fulfilled, the son's separation will not be tolerated and it is an insult to the sage if he doesn't send them. Dasaratha was caught in the vortex of such thoughts. Finally, holding his modesty and folding his hands in front of Vishwamitra, he said, 'Muniraja! I have been blessed with a son after many years. I will not be able to handle their separation at this moment. My children are very tender and very young. They still don't know archery very well. So how can I send them?"
Vishvamitra was very angry when he heard these words from Dashrath's mouth and said, 'King! I understand today that what you say is one thing, and what you do is another. If your attitude changes in a short moment, why would you say, 'Tell us what you want'? In fact, you are willing to stain the sun today. Your descendants Harishchandra, Shibi, and Rukmangada did not corrupt with hope. Being born in the same clan, What are you doing today? Think over it again. Is Rama just as normal as others? Why did Rama bear to you? Vashistha knows Rama's worth. You go to them and ask them so that you know who Rama is!'

Rama went with Lakshmana and Vishwamitra as per Dasaratha's orders. Both of them paid homage to Vishwamitra. Vishvamitra said to him, 'Come, take the guru to Vashistha blessing and come quickly. We want to dispel the suffering of the rishis by performing the yajna.' Rama, though young, knew how to behave. Both of them placed their heads on the Feet of Vashistha. Then he said, 'Come on, Children, get up. Taking their bow in both hands, Rama, Lakshmana, and Vishwamitra walked to Siddhi ashram with the blessings of Guru Vashistha.

Tataki, a demon, stopped in the middle of the road. Then Rama fired an arrow at her and killed her. Next, after going to Siddhi Ashram, Rama and Lakshmana, two brothers took a yajna mandap on the right and left, bows and arrows to rule the wicked. He stood up ready. Seeing the demons bringing blood and bones to sacrifice, Rama shot an arrow at them. It started rolling and eventually fell into the sea. Vishvamitra was very happy to see it. Thus Rama and Laxman were able to protect them all.
