In the country of India, the modern day state of Uttar Pradesh is a small town near the Yamuna River. It is called Mathura, which is a holy city. It is the birthplace of Sri Krishna. Mathura was under the rule of a tyrannical king called Kansa some 5,000 years ago. Kansa was so greedy and cunning that he did not even leave his father Ugrasena; After his imprisonment, Kansa declared himself king of Mathura. Then the good ruler of Agrasena, Kansa was on the contrary. It was a trying time for the commoners of Mathura to tolerate the extravagance and unjust rule of Kansa. Above all, Kansa repeatedly damaged his horns with the rulers of the Yadu dynasty, which often led to wars and disturbed the pacifist citizens of Mathura.

But soon the happy news came. Yuvaraja Devaki was married to the Vasudeva king of the Yadavamsa. The citizens of Mathura welcomed the wedding, as Kansa often ends wars with the Yadu dynasty.
Soon came the long-awaited day. Mathura was wearing a festive look. All were in festive spirit. Generally the deserted citizens of Mathura were also happy. It was a great thing to see, as the people of Mathura were not often smiling.
Soon, Devaki was married to King Vasudeva. Kansa, like him, thought, "Now, the kingdom of Vasudeva is better than me."

After the wedding, he decided to drive the royal couple home to pour the royal courtesy of the king, which was prevalent in those days. But so much so that, as soon as Kansa took the wedding chariot, the divine voice from the sky said, "Evil Kansa, you do not know it. The eighth son born to Vasudeva and Devaki will kill you!"
Hearing this, Kansa was frozen with fear. But then he got angry. He immediately thought to kill Devaki, "How can a child be born when the mother is dead?" So he pulled out his sword and lifted it to kill Devaki.
King Vasudeva was horrified by this cruelty. “Oh Kansa.” “He begs,”… please don’t kill your sister. I personally commit to all the children she gives birth to. "
Fidget King. He declared, "Then you will live as prisoners in my palace" and had no choice but to accept Vasudev's verdict. Kansa smiled happily. The man he loved the most in the whole world was his sister and he decided to save her life. He felt satisfied that the situation was under his control.
Kansa, Devaki and her husband, King Vasudeva, were arrested and kept in the dungeons of the palace. Every time Devaki gave birth to a child in the chambers, Kansa destroyed the child. He thus killed seven children born to Devaki and turned a deaf ear to his sister's heart-breaking cre Vasudeva reached the palace of his friend. Vasudeva rani entered the lodging of Yashoda's lodge gently. She slept peacefully in her bed and her baby girl next to her was awake, looking out the door. She was expecting him to come!
Vasudeva was trying his best to please his wife in the dungeons of the palace, but Devaki was terrified. "And my cruel brother will kill it too. O mighty God, please save my child!"
The night soon ended and the next day came. Devaki spent most of the day in tears. The dusk gave way to a terrible night that had never been seen before in Mathura. It seems that the whole world understood Devaki's mind and joined her in mourning for the unborn child. The air shouted in fury and the sky seemed to split to pour out the rains of anger.
And then it heard the cry of the divine child and broke it. This is the eighth child, a son, born to Queen Devaki at midnight in prison.
Immediately after the child's birth, the prison was filled with gleaming, eye-catching light. Devaki fainted at the sight and Vasudeva was enchanted. The light gathered into a sphere and the same voice that terrified Kansa, now spoke to Vasudev:
"Take this child across the Yamuna River to the Gokula State of your friend Raja Nanda. His wife, Rani Yashoda, has just given birth to a daughter. Swap your son for this baby girl and go back to jail immediately before anyone knows about the birth of this baby."
Without playing a single word, the new father picked up his son to follow Dhwani's advice. He was sad to separate the newborn from his mother but he knew there was no other way to save his son.
Vasudev was also very suspicious. A hundred soldiers were waiting outside. And it was a dark, terrible night. How could he get out of it without notice and without any danger?
But the sight he saw surprised him so much. All their questions were answered one by one. As he was holding the baby in his arms and coming to the Mahadwar, the prison doors automatically opened. He slowly came out, finding his complete surprise that all the guards were in a state of sleep.
Vasudeva left Mathura and soon approached the banks of the Yamuna River. It seems that the river is boiling white and boiling with rage because of the terrible wind and rain. It looked so alive and ready to devour the first person who stepped into it!

The father looked at his infant child's face and hesitated with suspicion. As the river sensed his fear, the boil subsided. But he still had to move on. Then a miracle happened. As soon as the feet of the Lord plunged into the river, the flow became normal and Yamuna made her way to the Lord. To Vasudeva's surprise, he saw a huge black snake raising his head from the water behind him. But soon the serpent realized that there was no harm in putting his hoodie into an umbrella. This snake is nothing but a Seshanag known as the roof canopy of the god Vishnu.
Vasudev, without delay, moved forward with great difficulty in the deep water of the waist. But in the end, without fully trusting his eyes, Vasudeva safely crossed the river bank and entered the village of Gokula.
It was midnight and the people of Gokula were in a deep sleep. Thus, Vasudeva had no difficulty in entering the palace of King Nandana, as the doors of the palace were wide open as usual. Nanda, like Kansa, was a fair king and the people under his rule were not afraid of intruders or thieves at night.
By this time Vasudeva had little idea that his child was truly a special person, a divine child. All his fears have disappeared because when he got this far, he understood that he would definitely be able to complete the rest of his journey. And it happened.
In a short time Vasudeva reached the palace of his friend. Vasudeva gently entered the room of rani Yashoda. She slept peacefully in her bed and her baby girl next to her was awake, looking out the door. She was expecting him to come!
Vasudeva picked up Yashoda's baby girl in her other arm and placed her son in the empty place beside Yashoda. He filled the eye with water and kissed his son on forehead. Then holding Nanda's daughter in his arms without looking back he walked away from Gokula,
Vasudev returned to prison with a baby girl, as Shesnag helped him as before. He entered his darkened room and placed the child beside Devaki. As soon as the baby felt the hard ground on her back, she opened her mouth and cried with lust.
The prison doors were closed. The guards suddenly woke up and told them the baby was born. The wicked king was delighted and afraid of the birth of his nephew. He was glad that he could finally kill his sister's eighth child, and he feared he might not be able to do so.
But to overcome his fears, he rushed to the palace's dungeons to execute his infant son. The guards of the palace trembled at his angry face. Kansa entered the living room where her sister and her husband lived for the past nine years.
"Where is he?" He glanced at the now awake Devaki. "Where's my assassin?"
Devaki regained consciousness only after she was replaced by Vasudeva's children and, therefore, thought that she was her eighth child. She appealed to her brother, "Oh Kansa, my brother - my eighth child is a girl, and not the son who warned you.
Kansa ignored her cry as usual. He loved his life more than anything else in the world. The love of his life had blurred his common sense and he had forgotten to sound the alarm about his becoming an assassin. In a rage of blindness, Kansa snatched the girl from Devaki's lap and threw the child into the prison wall.

But this time the child did not die; Instead, she jumped up and hung in the air for a moment to completely surprise everyone in attendance. Then the prison was once again filled with blinding light. The light intensifies the face of Kansa. As the light diminished, they realized that the child had become a cruel angel!
She wakes Kansa's head as the eight-armed form of Goddess Durga. Wearing shiny dresses and eye-catching jewelry, she looked terrifying and divine at the same time.
The goddess looked at Kamsa with dismay and pity. She said, "Foolishness, there is no power in heaven and on earth to kill me. How then can you be a wretched creature? If you could, you would gain nothing by killing me. Your assassin was already born! Someday, he will come to find you and kill you! You can not resist him no matter what you try! " Saying so, she left the terrified Kansa and disappeared.
Vasudev explained to his wife what happened that night. Devaki was saddened by her separation from her son, but in the joy of being a child. They both prayed to God that his son would not fall into the clutches of his evil uncle.
Gokula was very happy. The tribe of Gokula cattle were laughing from ear to ear. A new baby boy was born to their beloved King Nanda! The streets were clean and the houses were decorated with fragrant flowers. The whole place wore a festive look.
Everyone in Raja Nandana's house was in a happy mood. Nanda named the child Krishna. In Gokula, everyone danced with joy and came to Nanda's house to see the male child and to give him gifts.
But it did not escape anyone's attention that the child was not like a normal child. His skin was dark - blue, as seen in a cloud filled with water. His eyes were gleaming with pleasure. He never cried and always smiled at everyone.
Yashoda was very proud. "Aha my son!" She shouted lovingly at Krishna. "My cute little son! You'll definitely be pampered and spoiled by us!".
In this way, the Supreme Lord, the Creator of all, was created by Lord Krishna. He was born to protect everyone from terrible dictators like Kansa. He won the hearts of all men and women wherever he went. And with his brother Balarama, he later returned to Mathura and killed Kansa.
